By working “backwards” from what I heard, I searched lyrics and quickly found “Overwhelmed”, mad at myself for not trying sooner. I hope to hear more ballads like this one coming this Guy with the Muse. Classic and classy. Easy to play, also; another sign of genius. Before finding it on YouTube, I had about gotten it down in “C” – worked for me.

True art transcends any subject matter: When i first heard it, I immediately thought of my son who turns 21 this month, as well ashow my life changed when he was first born. Although the lyrics speaks of a girfriend, the same feelings hold true (sort of) for seeing my son grow up, struggle, rejoice, and become the man that he is today. Thanks Tim! (that’s also my son’s name).

I feel such a strong connection to this song, also as many others have commented. That’s a sure sign of strong songwriting. It’s hard to argue lyrics that come so directly from the heart. Immediately, I had to know more about it. I hate how such a lovely and deep, heartfelt song is used for a bloody booze advertisement. America needs to get its priorities a lot straighter, but that’s honestly just my minority opinion so please don’t bash me on it. Point is, this song made my heart just absolutely melt. I’m currently a bit sick and my voice is halfway lost, but I plan on learning this song while I’m healing and singing it to my girlfriend once I stop sounding like a cat dying a horrible, painful death. Somehow she adores my singing although I never thought I was anywhere near decent, so serenading her with this absolute magick will be my anniversary gift to her. I still think that this song deserves a lot more respect than to be used for Sameul Adams Beer, but at least with that, the wonderful sound of it is getting spread. I adore this song and idolize Mr. Tim McMorris, and I hope that one day soon I can dance to this song under the moonlight with my dear Sara as my wife. I wish everyone to marry to this song, as well as Mr. And Mrs. McMorris, to have long and happy, loving relationships. Congradulations everyone!

My husband and I have been very much in love since laying eyes on one another on Teen Flight Night at a local bar that was open for dancing, pop, music and teens only in the mid-to-late 1970′s. We met in 1977, and married in 1983 after finished community college and I finished my B.S. in education.
This beautiful, wonderful song works in so many ways for both of us!!!! The story of love and life, and the paths we all travel are fascinating and intricate… We found this beautiful music and voice like so many others, tracking it down through the lyrics on the internet from the SA commercial. Our plan is a bit different though – I have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and this expression of love will be one of the songs we will be honored to represent us at a gathering.
